Christmas on the Homefront

December 25, 2007

All through the house not a creature was stirring…..nor phone ringing.

It’s a quiet Christmas at our house today, we haven’t heard from those whom we love the most.

However, on the bright side one of our extended family called to wish a Merry Christmas.

I hope those who care about you have taken the time to call or drop by for a visit.

Merry Christmas

December 25, 2007

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. ” Luke 2:11

Wishing one and all a very Merry Chistmas, may you truly experience the real meaning of this day and all the joy that Christ can bring.

Love, Peace and Joy,

I’ll say a Little Prayer for You

December 21, 2007

The songwriter has said, “The moment I wake-up before I put on my make-up, I’ll say a llittle prayer for you.Since I don’t really war make-up I have more time to pray.

My precious angel is experiencing some bladder problems and the doctors have discovered that she has a swollen left kidney and a bladder that will not fully empty. She will be going for more tests.

If your a person of faith, please pray for Madeline she is only three years old and is truly a gift from God who was given to our family. You can find out more about this little one by visiting her blogsite, Madelinemonkey.com.

Dear Mo:

Please know that I love you and I will say a little prayer for you.

Love & Kisses to my Girl!

Frustrations

December 20, 2007

To those few family amd friends who have stopped by this blog site,I say thank you.

Please forgive me because I find this to be on a web link that no one reads and has it’s difficulties in getting to it and working with it.

Which means, quite simply that I think the whole thing stinks,

However, I thought I try again because it has been it has been a bad week and it’s a chance to vent.

This week a learned that a dear christian man who has worked with me has learned that his stomach cancer has came back with a vengeance and it’s a matter of weeks or days before he goes home to be with the Lord.

Presently, God has had his hands on him and he has no pain but has been very sick in other ways. Praise God that there is no pain. I am on standby to do the funeral service and will take about 8 to get there, more if the weather is bad.

It’s difficult not to be with those you love and care for and be so far away.

The other things that really frustrate me is UNGRATEFUL PEOPLE”, their the ones that I have worked to help for 38 Christmas’. People who call and do nothing but COMPLAIN!

Hello, people its free and all it takes for you is the time to sign up for it and the time to pick it  up. Gee how hard is that!  We have tons of paperwork and reports to content with, fundraising and finding enough people to help buy the gift, pack and distribute the gifts. Not too mention the fundraising component. Belive me that’ not the whole list.

We received so many calls from people saying I didn’t get what I ask for on my “Wish List. Hello! It is a Wish List.

A reality check is needed. Everyone doesn’t have stock in Fort Knox.

My other frustration of the week involves false information that was limited in context, that was given to the media. Which made the other person come out smelling like a rose, as if this was the first time this  particular thing has happened before. Grrr! The nerve.

By the way, that didn’t happen here but in the netherland from where I came.

Then there has been multiple issues w/seasonal help, volunteers and staff. Oh, Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!

However, I feel better now! I’ve vented! God is good and He’s got it all together.

But I miss my sons, my daugher and my 2 precious grandchildren, Caeden and my girl Mo!

Insight

July 19, 2007

A friend sent me an email about a week ago. I really appreciate so many of the things that she sends my way.

One thought she sent stated there were only two kinds of people in the word.

One person will wake up in the morning and say, “Good Morning, Lord.” Whereas the other will wake up and say, “Good Lord, it’s morning!”

Which one are you?

Greetings
